At-Con Newsletter

Michael Nelson, Editor-in-Chief newsletter@milphil.org

The Millennium Philcon daily newsletter will bring you the latest program updates, announcements, reviews, nonsense — and the ever-important evening party list. The newsletter will be distributed at major fan thoroughfares in the Convention Center and Marriott hotel during the Millennium Philcon. Your contributions of reviews, announcements, and comments will be welcomed. Specially constructed contribution collection devices (e.g., cardboard boxes) will be stationed in convenient locations.

New! The Millennium Philcon daily newsletter will be publishing a special memorial issue. Please send brief appreciations for members of the fannish community we have lost in the past year to newsletter@milphil.org or the Millennium Philcon postal address.

Printer's Devils, and Newsmongers, and Proofreaders! Oh, my!

In keeping with our main convention theme of Benjamin Franklin Through Time and Space, the Millennium Philcon daily newsletter will be produced in exactly the same way as Benjamin Franklin's newspaper, the Pennsylvania Gazette, was produced. Well, exactly the same way if Ben had access to computers, laser printers, digital cameras, and Xerox copiers.

If you are planning to host a party on the Wednesday evening before MilPhil or to hold some other early event, please send information to our e-mail address or care of the convention postal address for the Wednesday pre-con issue of the newsletter. Groups wishing to promote their at-con activities should also send submissions. Look for our newsstands in the Pennsylvania Convention Center and Philadelphia Marriott. We also plan to have a News Desk in the convention center where you can pick up the latest issue, submit material, and talk to a real newsletter staff member.

Heeding the theory that states "More = Merrier", we are seeking more members for our team. We need general production staff, News Desk personnel, reporters, and distribution people. Drop us a note or stop by the News Desk to volunteer.
