Online 2001 Hugo Awards & John W. Campbell Award Voting Ballot

Saul Jaffe, Rick Katze - Hugo Award administrators hugos@milphil.org

Instructions for the Online Ballot

You must be an attending or supporting member of The Millennium Philcon to vote. The deadline for joining The Millennium Philcon and to also be eligible to vote is July 18, 2001. For more information on becoming a member of The Millennium Philcon, see the convention's Registration page.

For general instructions, please see the How to Vote page available from the main Hugo page. That page also includes other useful information, including a discussion of how the preferential ballot works and some tips on voting.

In order for your ballot to be counted when using this online form, all of the information in the eligibility section must be filled out. The unique ID was distributed with the nomination ballots or sent to you with the final ballot. If you joined after the final ballot was mailed out to members, you will need to contact the committee for your ID number if you wish to use the online form. Please contact info@milphil.org.

Please note that you do not have to vote in every category. You do, however, have to make all of your votes on one ballot. That is, you cannot submit one form voting in one category, and then later submit another form with votes in other categories. In case of submission of multiple forms, the earliest form, as determined by submission date (electronic) or reception date (paper) will be used.

Ballots that are printed and mailed must use the following address, not the main Millennium Philcon Post Office Box:

Hugo Awards Administrator
PO Box 2038
Clifton, NJ 07015 USA

Alert! We've had a technical problem with online voting for the Hugo and Retro Hugo awards. We recognize that some ballots have been lost. Any online votes sent prior to July 12, 2001 at 7:20pm EDT may be lost. If in doubt, please cast another ballot.

The deadline for all ballots has been extended to 11:59pm Eastern Daylight Time on Wednesday, July 25, 2001. All ballots must be submitted electronically or postmarked by that time and date to be counted

The Millennium Philcon apologizes for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Eligibility Verification

Member Name
Membership ID number
Unique ID number
Signature (if mailed)
Your membership number is the 3- or 4-digit number followed by an "A" or an "S" on your mailing label. The 5-digit number not followed by a letter is your unique number. This number should also not be confused with your zip code if you're in the U.S. If you do not have a unique ID number, you may contact the committee to obtain one. The unique ID number replaces your signature - no electronic ballot will be considered valid without it.
